Visa Requirements Guides

These guides are source-cited document requirements for UAE residents applying for a visa. Each page lists the documents for one destination and visa route, and every requirement is checked against an official government or embassy source, with the date it was last verified shown on the page. A route appears here only while its requirements are verified and within their review date, so you are not shown outdated lists. The guides are preparation guidance, not official approval: the destination authority makes the final decision, and what you need can vary with your nationality and circumstances. Use the table below to find your destination, then open the guide for the full document list and its sources.

How we verify

Each requirement and each source is stored with a verification status and a review_by date. A record counts as current only when it is marked verified, is published, and its review date is still in the future. A missing or invalid review date is never treated as current.

When a review date passes, or a record is marked stale, it drops off the public pages and a route that no longer has enough current documents and at least one current source is removed from this table. A weekly internal digest lists records coming due within 30 and 60 days so they can be re-checked against the official source before they lapse.

Frequently asked questions

Do UAE residents need a visa for these destinations?

It depends on your passport nationality, not on living in the UAE. UAE residency does not by itself remove a visa requirement. Each guide lists the documents for that visa route; check the destination's official source to confirm whether your passport needs the visa at all.

How often are the requirements re-checked?

Every requirement and source carries a review_by date. Once that date passes, the record stops counting as current and the page is withdrawn until it is re-verified against the official source. A weekly internal digest flags records that are coming due.

Is this an official government source?

No. Open Visa Global is a private service. Each document is linked to the official source it came from, and you should confirm details there. Our guides are preparation guidance and are not official approval or a guarantee of a visa decision.

Why is a destination missing from the table?

A route is listed only when it has enough verified, published documents and at least one current official source. Routes that are unverified, out of date, or too thin are left out rather than shown with guesses.

Can I get a checklist for my own situation?

Yes. Some documents depend on circumstances such as employment status or funding source. The document checklist generator and visa preparation tool tailor the list to your answers.
